THE IDEA
Adding a fun twist to the carrier wars, Galactic Thunder Pony is an engaging mobile experience designed for Snapchat and mobile web applications as an irreverent 8-bit homage to classic vertical-scrolling arcade games. helping Boost communicate it’s advantages over the competitive mobile carriers, Mr. Pony traveled the galaxies blasting through the Interstellar Evil Mobile Megacorps and all its bosses who represented a variety of Mobile Carrier hassles and problems.
the
engagement
Since we know that mass transit users spend a lot of time on their devices, we took over three subway stations in the New York area with our invitation to join Galactic Thunder Pony in his fight. Banners and wild posting-style recruitment messages revealed Mr. Pony’s foes and included convenient access for commuters to join the fight through Snapchat via Snapcode, letting users pass an otherwise mind-numbing commute in full 32-bit entertainment. Targeted Snapchat and digital campaigns also ran, leading fans to play on the Snapchat platform or on a web application.

the
engagement 2.0
The initial success of Galactic Thunder Pony exceeded even our expectations with engagement times reaching 10 minutes and more… leading to a next level, V2 roll out for the holidays, including new skins, revised bosses, new levels, and improved game play.

THE RESULTS
With minimal advertising support outside of Snapchat and the subway take-overs, Galactic Thunder Pony recruited over 700,000 players in just three months with an average user engagement time of 10 minutes and more, and directly attributed bump in in click-through rates to boostmobile.com. Battles… were won.
